Healing Testimony of Raymond T. Richey:

The following is a testimony by Raymond T. Richey, an Assembly of God minister in the U.S.A. who was used greatly of God in the healing ministry and is given by “faith tools”. And I quote,

“Richey, born in 1893, had contracted tuberculosis while working in the ministry. He was confined to bed. By September of 1919, he had given up on life and he was upset with God for not healing him. God spoke to him and reminded him that the church was believing for his full recovery and also reminded him of the miracles He had done in Ritchey’s family in the past. Richey was repentant and started saying, “Dear Lord, forgive, I do remember and I do believe.”

He opened the Bible and read Psalm 103:3, “Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, Who healeth all thy diseases.” Richey slowly got out of bed and whispered in a weak voice, “I praise You, Lord, I praise You, Lord, I praise You, Lord. I know You are healing me.” Each time he praised God, his voice got stronger until he was shouting. His strength increased rapidly and he knew he was healed.”

Someone once asked Richey, “What is faith?”

Richey replied, “Faith is just acting on God’s Word.”

God wants you well dear friend, His word assures us that Jesus took away our sicknesses and bore our pains, now act as if you were healed and begin to thank and praise Him in faith for doing so!

Faith is Acting on God’s Word:

FAITH IS ACTING ON GOD’S WORD:

We read in James 2:21-22,

“Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.”

Saving or healing faith then would be appropriating God’s Word and acting on it regardless of our circumstances.

We read in 2Cor. 5:7

“For we live by faith, not by sight.”

Faith is not merely believing God’s Word but receiving it and acting on what God says regardless of how you may feel! You may feel sick, you may have pain, We do not let our feelings control us or lead us

Smith Wigglesworth, who was known as the apostle of faith, said, “If you are afraid to act you really don’t believe.” “Faith is an act not a feeling.” End of quote.

God’s Word is dependable, it can be trusted! God’s Word is the embodiment of His will! God’s nature is such that He longs to forgive us, He longs to heal us! Jesus demonstrated to us what God is like and what His will is when he had compassion on the multitudes and healed all that were sick! Substantiate by faith his promises, rise up and be healed in Jesus Name today!

Prayer is the backbone to Revival

Revival:

Prayer is the backbone of Revival:

Hello, Thank you for taking time to listen to insights from God’s precious Word: Today I will be speaking to you again on the very important subject of revivial! The title of my message is entitled,

“Prayer is the backbone of Revival”

The first great revival of Christian history had its origin in Jerusalem when God poured out His Spirit on the day of Pentecost! This outpouring was proceeded by ten days of prayer by 120 of the Lord’s disciples! We read in Acts 1:14 that the apostles with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus and with his brothers all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication,…”

We read the result of that time of prayer in Acts 2:1-2

“When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.”

In Acts 4:29-31 we read of another great prayer meeting that took place after Peter and John was imprisoned for the healing of a lame man! They were released the next day after being threatened and warned by the chief priests and the elders not to speak or teach again in the Name of Jesus. They returned to the other disciples and had a prayer meeting where they experienced God’s presence and power manifested among them! The following is the prayer that they prayed,

“Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.”

This prayer meeting resulted in a great move of God! We read this in Acts 4:33, and I quote, “And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.”

Every true revival from the day of Pentecost to this has had its earthly origin in prayer. God longs to send revival and bless His people but God has chosen never to work without our cooperation! Only when we pray God will work!

John Wesley, founder of Methodism, commenting on the three words found in Philippians 4:6, Everything by prayer, said: “I am persuaded that God does everything by prayer and nothing without it.” D. L Moody said, Every work of God can be traced to some kneeling form.

Revival does not just fall from Heaven. It must be prayed down. R. A. Torrey said, “I have a theory, and I believe it to be true, that there is not a church, chapel or mission on earth where you cannot have a revival, provided there is a nucleus of faithful people who will hold on to God until it comes.”

In Ezekiel 22:30-31 we read of God looking in vain for an intercessor, but because He found none, His wrath was poured out in just judgment against the nation of Israel because of her sinful rebellion against God:

“I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Therefore have I poured out Mine indignation upon them….”

From the warning we are made to understand that prayer is not optional but an absolute necessity. Prayer must have first priority in our lives. Prayer is the one power on earth that can influence Heaven.

May God richly bless you and use you as a mighty instrument for His glory in these last days!

Revival- Turning from our Wicked Ways no. 4

For fourth broadcasting:

Good morning dear friends, Thank you for taking time to listen to insights from God’s precious Word: Today I will be speaking to you again on the very important subject of revivial! My message today is a continuation of the message that I shared last time on this theme entitled, If my people will turn from their wicked ways.”

Revival will not just drop from the sky! In a sense there is a price that we must pay in order for God to send Revivial. In 2 Chronicles 7:14 we read God’s recipe or formula for revival and I quote:

“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” End of quote.

In the above verse we see that if If God’s people would do four things God would do three things

One important condition that I will speak on today is, If my people will turn from their wicked ways.

Johnathan Goforth missionary to China and who was greatly used in revival said and I quote,

“We cannot emphasize too strongly our conviction that all hindrances to revival in the Church are due to sin!

He gave the following important advice as to how confession of our sin should be made and I quote:

“In view of the prominence that is given to confession of sin in this article, perhaps I ought to make plain my own views on the subject. We have a strong feeling that sins committed before conversion are under the blood of God’s Son and never should be confessed. To do so is to bring dishonor upon Christ’s Calvary sacrifice.

We believe that as regards secret sin, that is sin which is only known to the individual soul and God, to confess it at the private altar is, as a rule, sufficient to ensure pardon and cleansing. Yet there are times when secret acknowledgment of secret sin is not sufficient and public confession is the only way to secure relief…

As to sin against an individual, the Scriptures are quite plain. The following is a verse from Matt. 22-24 “Therefore, if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift” (Matt. 5:22,24).

It is vain for us to pray while conscious that we have injured another. Let us first make amends to the injured one before we dare approach God at either private or public altar.

I am confident revival would break out in most churches if this was done. Then again, as regards public sins, experience has shown us that those can only be swept away by public confession.

True, this amounts to crucifixion; but by our willful disobedience, we have put the Lord of Glory to open shame, and it is the price we must be willing to pay if we are to see revival sweeping through our churches.”-End of quote

Robert D. Jones in his article, “Pursuing Peace: A Christian Guide to Handling Our Conflicts”, gave some following good advice and I quote, “The circle of confession must be as big as the circle of offense. In other words, if I sinned against one person, I need to seek forgiveness from one person. If I sinned against six people, I need to seek forgiveness from six people. If I sinned against two hundred people . . . And so on.” End of quote.

Everyone we have offended by our sin must be addressed! We also need to make restitution, for example returning stolen property or making any other financial compensation that is necessary!

John Van GELDEREN, president of revival focus, shared how In the 1960s, when three ladies started meeting weekly to pray for their church, they asked God to search their hearts based on Psalm 66:18, ( “If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened;”

”Six miserable weeks” followed as they dealt with the subtle sins the Holy Spirit brought to their attention. Then, the Spirit released them to pray for God to pour out His Spirit in revival on their church. The next Sunday, the Spirit moved. God granted a season of refreshing for six months, reviving the church and bringing in a fresh harvest of souls.

Smith Wigglesworth shared the following important instruction in regards to forsaking all sin,and I quote:

“I realize that God can never bless us on the lines of being hardhearted, critical or unforgiving. This will hinder faith quicker than anything. I remember being at a meeting where there were some people tarrying for the Baptism-seeking for cleansing, for the moment a person is cleansed the Spirit will fall. There was one man with eyes red from weeping bitterly. He said to me, “I shall have to leave. It is no good my staying without I change things. I have written a letter to my brother-in-law, and filled it with hard words, and this thing must first be straightened out.” He went home and told his wife, “I’m going to write a letter to your brother and ask him to forgive me for writing to him the way I did.” “You fool!” she said. “Never mind,” he replied, “this is between God and me, and it has got to be cleared away.” He wrote the letter and came again, and straightway God filled him with the Spirit.

I believe there are a great many people who would be healed, but they are harboring things in their hearts that are as a blight. Let these things go. Forgive, and the Lord will forgive you. There are many good people, people that mean well, but they have no power to do anything for God. There is just some little thing that came in their hearts years ago, and their faith has been paralyzed ever since. Bring everything to the light. God will sweep it all away if you will let Him. Let the precious blood of Christ cleanse from all sin. If you will but believe, God will meet you and bring into your lives the sunshine of His love.”-End of quote

We read in God’s precious Word found in 1John 1:7-9 and I quote,

“But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.”-end of quote

Shall we pray:

our precious Father, we worship you and glorify you and give you glory and honor and praise!

We thank you that you are the God of revival, send revival to our churches etc.

May your manifest presence come in our midst convicting sinners of their and their great need of repentance! Do this for your great Name sake and for your glory!

We ask this is Jesus a name Aman

Revival- God’s People Must Turn From Their Wicked Ways no. 5

Revival:

God’s People Must Turn from Their Wicked Ways:

Hello, Thank you for taking time to listen to insights from God’s precious Word: Today I will be speaking to you again on the very important subject of revivial! The title of my message is again entitled, “Turning from our Wicked Ways”

Before revival came to Korea, Dr. Hardie one of the key instruments in the revival said, “When the Holy Spirit came upon me, He first commanded me to confess my failure and its cause before my fellow missionaries with whom I spent most of the day during my missionary life. That was deeply painful and humiliating.” Hardie also confessed in one of the Korean churches! He said and I quote, “I had a strong racial prejudice against Korean people. I was not filled with the Holy Spirit.” -end of quote. After he confessed his racial prejudice, the congregation also asked his forgiveness for hating him and there was deep confession. This step of obedience plus other factors paved the way for God to move in power and revivial that brought many souls into the kingdom of God in that Nation.

If the leaders are guilty of public sin( i.e. sin that affected others for e.g. the congregation that they may be pastors of!) they should be among the first to repent and make a public confession of their sins! This would then make it possible for them to intercede earnestly for their members. We read in Joel 2:17, “Let the priests, who minister to the Lord, Weep between the porch and the altar; Let them say, “Spare Your people, O Lord, And do not give Your heritage to reproach, That the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’ ””

We read our Lords clear and stern warning to the backslidden Church in Sardis in Rev. 3:2-3:,

“Wake up! Strengthen what little remains, for even what is left is almost dead. I find that your actions do not meet the requirements of my God. Go back to what you heard and believed at first; hold to it firmly. Repent and turn to me again. If you don’t wake up, I will come to you suddenly, as unexpected as a thief.” – end of quote.

Also we have our Lord’s admonition to the church of laodicea the following very serious words found in Rev. 3:16-21:

““So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.”

If perhaps you are guilty dear friend of the same sins as the church in Sardis or of the church in Laodicea and your heart has become cold and hard, you have lost your first love for the Lord Jesus Christ and for your brothers and sisters in Christ and you have become insensitive to the misery and to the bondage of the lost that are going to an eternal hell then I encourage you to return to God and deeply repent of your sins

There are those who say, the blood of Jesus shed on the cross covers all our sins but dear friends the blood of Jesus will not cover what we must uncover, if we have stolen something we must be willing to return what we have stolen or cheated, if we have offended somebody by our words spoken in anger we must be willing to go to that person or persons and ask for forgiveness, if we have lied to somebody we must be willing to go to that person or persons and tell them the truth, if we have been involved in immorality we must be willing to go to the affected person or persons and make restitution! And so

We read in Is. 55:7, the following wonderful words, and I quote, “Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.” End of quote

Not only pardon, but abundantly pardon! Our precious Lord Jesus Christ was crucified and shed His precious blood in order that you might be completely and totally forgiven and released from Satan’s bondage and brought into wonderful freedom!

In the above passage of scripture that we read about the church in Laodicea we saw our loving and compassionate Lord Jesus Christ standing at the door of this backslidden church and knocking longing and desiring to come in and have fellowship again !

If you are backslidden and your love for this world and yielding to its evil temptations has squeezed Jesus out of your life He is standing at the door of your heart dear friend and knocking, think of it, the Lord of glory, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords standing at your heart’s door and knocking! Because He is all love He will not force Himself in, will you let him in today!

Revival, God’s People Must Turn From Their Wicked Ways

Revival:

God’s People Must Turn from Their Wicked Ways:

Hello, Thank you for taking time to listen to insights from God’s precious Word: Today I will be speaking to you again on the very important subject of revivial! The title of my message is entitled, “Turning from our Wicked Ways”

Revival will not just drop from the sky! In a sense there is a price that we must pay in order for God to send Revivial. In 2 Chronicles 7:14 we read of what is God’s formula for revival and I quote:

“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” End of quote.

In the above verse we see that if God’s people would do four things God would do three things!

Two conditions that the above verse mentions are, “If my people will humble themselves and turn from their wicked ways!

Johnathan Goforth missionary to China and who was greatly used in revival said and I quote,

“We cannot emphasize too strongly our conviction that all hindrances to revival in the Church are due to sin! The appalling fact is that every sin found without the Church is found also within the Church although perhaps to a lesser degree.

It is sin in individual Church members, whether at home or on the foreign field, which grieves and quenches the Holy Spirit! I imagine that we would lose much of our self-righteousness if we were to find that pride, jealousy, envy, greed, bad temper, backbiting, gossip, talebearing, and all their kindred are just as heinous in God’s sight as the so-called grosser sins.” End of quote

David Smithers writing about the revival in China shared these important words, and I quote,

“It was when the Christians came clean, confessed and forsook their secret sin, that the Holy Spirit rushed in like a mighty wind. Truly it was this open and honest confession of sin that was the most striking feature of the revival. Everywhere Mr. Goforth went revival would spread, and almost always in the same way. First prayer was encouraged among the Christians, which then spontaneously led to heart- breaking confessions of sin. And then like a flood, the lost were brought into the kingdom by the thousands. “Men were searched as with fire.” One after another broken-hearted believers emptied themselves through the uncovering of all secret sin.” End of quote-David Smithers

In 1949, the The Isle of Lewis in the Hebrides experienced the beginning of a remarkable revival which spread throughout the entire island. Before the revival sin abounded and darkness prevailed. Young people were not interested in going to church but during the revival the church was filled with the youth! The revival extended through even the most resistant communities and brought thousands of lost souls to Christ. It is interesting to observe that it was preceded by great repentance and intercession. In one of the services as the preacher delivered his message, tremendous conviction of sin swept down upon the people! ITD Creative writing about this said and I quote “Tears rolled down the faces of the people, and from every part of the building came cries of men and women crying for mercy. So deep was the distress of some that their voices could be heard outside in the road.”-end of quote

Evan Roberts, one of the main instruments used in the Welsh revival that took place in Wales in 1904-1905 based his principles of revival on four points; 1) Confess all known sin; 2) Search out all secret and doubtful things; 3) Confess the Lord Jesus openly; 4) Pledge that you will fully obey the Spirit.

Tom Shanklin in His article “Bend the church and save the World”, mentions among other things that Evan Roberts motto during the revival was His motto was, “bend the church and save the world.” The emphasis was on the great need for the Church to bow and yield to the Holy Spirit that He might do His mighty work of renewal and transformation.

Therefore repentance was a central theme in the revival!

The revival which began with meetings among the young people were characterized by a conviction of sin, public confessions of Jesus Christ, powerful conversions, joy and laughter, spontaneous singing and prayer, and a strong awareness of the presence of God. As a result people of all ages began to attend and the revival spread throughout Wales!

. Confessions of awful sins were heard on every side. Old debts were paid. Infidels were converted, drunkards, thieves, and gamblers saved;”

This is revival when people are willing to humble themselves and openly confess their sins

Dear friend do you want to experience it in your own life, in your church, in your community and in your nation and are you willing to pay the price in order to have it?

Remember the price is found in 2Chron. 7:14: “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Today we are emphasizing the great need of turning from our wicked ways! Revival is not for the sinners but for the church, but when the church meets the conditions and when it gets right with God sinners will be saved by the thousands

Shall we pray: Dear Heavenly Father we praise you and worship you! We thank you that you are the God of revival ! Therefore we humble ourselves before you and we ask you to search our hearts and cleanse us from every sin, from pride, Jealousy, envy, criticism, gossip, resentment, lying, cheating, impurity, from a divisive spirit and any other sin or idol that you might show us!

We are asking you to send a mighty revival first in our individual lives, into our homes, into our churches, into our district and into our nation not for our sakes, but for your own name’s sake and for your own honor and glory! We ask all this in Jesus Name, the Name of your Son whom you love and whom you always hear! Amen and Amen!”

Revival:

The Great Necessity of Asking for Revival

Hello, Thank you for taking time to listen to insights from God’s precious Word: Today I will be speaking to you again on the very important subject of revivial!

The Bible indicates that in the last days there is coming a great Revivial, a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit! In Acts 2:17 we read that God says, “‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;…

and in James 5:7-8 we read,

“Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.”

And in Hosea 6:3 we read:

“Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.”

In Israel there are two seasons of the year in which the rain falls abundantly. In the latter part of October and early November come the former rains.

The second downpour comes in the spring in the latter part of March and the first part of April. The October-November rains are called the former rain, and the March-April rains are called the latter rain. The former rain falls after the sowing time in order to germinate the seed. The latter rain falls toward the end of the season in order to help ripen the grain and prepare it for harvesting.

We could use the analogy of the former and latter rain in connection with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. The initial outpouring on the day of Pentecost was the former rain which is found in Joel 2:28-29!

This scripture was quoted by the apostle Peter on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:16-17, when he explained to the people what he and the other disciples had experienced when God had poured out His Spirit upon them! He said to them, “..this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: “ ‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.”

What the disciples experienced was the former rain, an initial outpouring but all that was written in this portion of scripture was not experienced by the disciples and there is coming in the last days even a greater outpouring that would affect all mankind, this we could call the latter rain. This would imply that in the last days great multitudes will be saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit!

In Zech 10:1 we read that in the time of the latter rain we are to ask for rain and I quote, “¶ Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain, so the Lord shall make lightnings and shall give you abundant rain and grass in the field to each one.” End of quote

We have seen recent incidents of God pouring out His Spirit in different parts of the world! For example in January of 1994 in Toronto, Canada in a little church of 360 members, called at that time the Toronto airport vineyard God poured out His Spirit in unprecedented ways!

As a result of this within the first two years alone almost one million guests had come through the doors of the church from virtually every country and denomination. Tens of thousands of people made a first-time commitment to Christ and church membership had increased steadily and rapidly.

The Brownsville Revival at Brownsville Assembly of God church (also known as the Pensacola Outpouring) was another great move of God that began in June, 1995 and became widely known! It was characterized by many thousands repenting of their sins as a call to holy living was preached! The power and presence of the Holy Spirit caused many to redidicate their lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ! More than four million people are reported to have attended the revival meetings from its beginnings in 1995 to around the year 2000.

Just a few weeks ago, God poured out His Spirit on the Asbury Christian university and seminary in Wilmure, Kentucky! It started on Feb 8th. as some students stayed behind to pray after a chapel service! That chapel service lasted for two weeks, all day and all night with participants praying, worshipping, testifying, confessing their sins and getting right with God! One person who attended the revival described it in the following way, and I quote, “Attending the revival at Asbury was an unforgettable experience. We could literally feel the ‘weighty’ presence of God as soon as we walked into the building.

There was passionate, authentic worship, brokenness, people praying at the altar, people praying at their seats, and people praying with each other in groups around the room.” End of quote! Those attending the revival were mainly young people! Before it ended, the revival had brought thousands of people from different parts of the United States as well as from other countries of the world as participants! Students from many other universities and colleges, throughout the nation motivated by social media livestreams and posts attended the revival! Similar services have begun to pop up at other schools and other places! There are those who feel that this can be the beginning of a much greater revival that will spread throughout the world!

We read in Zech. 10:1 that in the time of the latter rain we are to ask for rain. We have seen God pouring out His Spirit in certain areas of the world in marvelous and unusual ways! Dear friend this is the time of the latter rain let us be willing to pay the price for revival, get right with God and ask for a mighty outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit in our lives, in our homes, in our churches, in our schools, in our town, in our district and in our nation! God is no respecter of churches or persons! If we meet the conditions He will not pass us by!

Shall we pray:

Our precious Heavenly Father we come to you in and through the wonderful Name of Jesus,

We thank you and praise for what you have done and what you are doing in different places in the world! You are no respecter of persons or places! We pray earnestly that you will not pass us by but send a mighty outpouring of your Holy Spirit amongst us!

Bless all those who are listening to this message, bless their homes, their families, their churches, their communities and their nations! May they sense your wonderful presence flooding their homes and their lives right now! Heal those who are sick and meet every need!

We pray and ask all this in Jesus Name, Amen!

What is True Revival:

What is True Revival:

Hello, Thank you for taking time to listen to insights from God’s precious Word: Today I will be speaking to you on the very important subject of revivial! My text is found in Joel 2:28-29, “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.”

A Heaven sent revival is the urgent need of the hour! We are living in an hour where many churches have backslided and who are denying the fundamental truths of God’s Word and where society has degenerated and are disobeying God’s laws and are breaking His everlasting covenant! A new generation has sprung up that knows very little or nothing of God and His ways!

We desperately need to see God move in power that would

bring in a great harvest of souls in these last days!

Many people have a wrong understanding of what revivial is!

Today I will with the help of the Holy Spirit endeavor to give my listeners some definitions of what a true revival is: and my message is entitled, “What is true revival?”

Many people have a wrong understanding of what revivial is!

Today I will with the help of the Holy Spirit endeavor to give you some definitions of what a true revival is:

Arthur Wallis in his book, “In the Day of Thy Power,” writes that revival is, “God revealing Himself to man in awesome holiness and irresistible power.

Someone said, “Revival is an extraordinary visitation of God.” One definition of revival says, “Revival is God coming to man in an unusual way.”

Duncan Campbell, one of the instruments that God used in the great Hebrides revivial defined it in this way: and I quote,

“Then I would like to make it perfectly clear what I understand of revival. When I speak of revival, I am not thinking of high-pressure evangelism. I am not thinking of crusades or of special efforts convened and organized by man. That is not in my mind at all. Revival is something altogether different from evangelism on its highest level. Revival is a moving of God in the community and suddenly the community becomes God conscious before a word is said by any man representing any special effort.”

An awareness of God—that’s revival!

In the Hebrides revival an awareness of God gripped the community such as hadn’t been known for over a hundred years.

The outstanding characteristics of the revival were a deep sense of the reality and presence of God accompanied by a deep sense of conviction of sin.-

Revival is the moving of God’s Spirit on a community, on a town, on a city, on a nation and even on nations in answer to the prevailing prayer of men and women who believed that God was a covenant-keeping God and must be true to His covenant engagement.”-Duncan Campbell

In closing revival can be summarized as the manifest presence of God saturating a community in awesome power, holiness, love and glory thereby bringing deep conviction of sin causing even the hardest of hearts to repent!

When God through the person of the Holy Spirit manifests His presence in a particular area, everyone there, saint and sinner becomes aware of His presence! Although His presence is spiritual its reality and intensity is realized and felt just as if it was physical!

Dear friend do you want to experience God’s manifest presence in your church, in your schools, in your communities and in your town? Remember our text and God’s wonderful promise, found in Joel 2:28-29, ““And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.”

Shall we pray:

Our precious Heavenly Father we come to you in and through the wonderful Name of Jesus,

Two Kingdoms that are at War with each other:

Two Kingdoms that are at War with Each Other:

Hello dear friends greetings in Jesus Name and welcome again to insights from God’s Precious Word:

Today I want to speak to you about :

1. Two Kingdoms that are at war with each other:

Our first scripture reading is found in Matt. 12:22-30:

And I quote:

“Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed, blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw. And all the multitudes were amazed and said, “Could this be the Son of David?” Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, “This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.” But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.” (NKJV)

Jesus shows the Pharisees here how illogical was their accusation that he was casting out demons by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons which was Satan. He questioned them, “if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?” End of quote.

Jesus showed us here very clearly that Satan has a kingdom! He then went on to say, But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God had come upon you!

From the above we see there are two kingdoms that are at war with each other: 1. The kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan. The one is the kingdom of good and the other one the kingdom of evil.

The kingdom of God is the kingdom of light and the kingdom of Satan is the kingdom of darkness. Those who are in that kingdom have been blinded they do not know where they are going! They are like sheep without a shepherd, like a ship in the ocean without a ruder and a navigator.

The main objective of Satan’s kingdom is to deceive as many people as he can and keep them in darkness. In the Bible He’s is called a deceiver, we read this in Rev. 12:9, and I quote,

“So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” (NKJV.) End of quote.

And then in

In John 10:10, Jesus said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”-(NKJV) End of quote.

We see from the above verse that the work of the devil is to steal the peace of mankind, to steal their joy and happiness, to steal their health, to steal the purposes that God intended them to come into, to steal their wealth to make them poverty stricken, to make them feel guilty and therefore ineffective, His purpose is also to kill,

How does he kill, through disease, through binding us with bad habits that are detrimental to one’s health, through suicidal spirits, through war and innocent people being murdered etc.

Then he has come to destroy and that is the ongoing destruction in hell of his captives for ever!

He is out to destroy as many souls as possible. So, to accomplish his goals, he is well organized and uses any lie, deception or temptation to cause a person to not serve God. His ultimate goal is to control the mind of every person and to receive worship which was intended only for God.

I remember one time I was preaching in Pakistan, I got up to speak after a time of worship and praise to God! After speaking for a short time there was a scream in the congregation and a woman fall to the floor. We knew it was a manifestation of evil spirits and we went immediately to pray for her. The Lord Jesus set this dear lady free from a evil Spirit she had been bound by for some years! The kingdom of God came to that poor woman that day!

We see this also happening in Jesus’ ministry and I quote from Mark 1:21-28,

“Then they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the synagogue and taught. And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!” But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him. Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.” And immediately His fame spread throughout all the region around Galilee.”

Mark 1:21-28 NKJV

Why were the people amazed in the above account:

There is no record in the Old Testament of anyone casting out a demon or demons although many other miracles were recorded such as the healing of the sick! The casting out of demons in the New Testament, first by Jesus and then by His disciples was an indication that the Kingdom of God had come and that a stronger man had come who was capable of defeating the devil who was the strong man, taking away his armor and dividing up his plunder and destroying his kingdom and setting his captives free!

In the above verse we see that with the coming of Jesus, Satan’s kingdom was exposed and brought to the open and was no match to God’s victorious kingdom.

The devil will therefore do everything to obscure the fact that he has a kingdom and to the work of the demons in the world.

For This reason he would hold the people in ignorance through modern education and science that ignores and ridicules demon spirits as medieval superstition and that all that cannot be perceived by our natural senses is to be regarded as myth! He would deceive us in thinking that people in this modern age no longer believe in such nonsense!

Another tactic he has is to hold the people in fear of the supernatural and to the ministry of deliverance!

We see these two kingdoms also indicated in Col.1: 12-14

“Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God’s holy people) in the Light. [The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, In Whom we have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins.” (AMPC)

The Word translated dominion in the Greek Is exousia which means authority.

Paul shows us that before we were saved and brought into the kingdom of God we were slaves to sin and of the devil

Romans 7:14 say, “We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin.” (Romans 7:14 NIV)

Romans 6:20 says “ …we became slaves to sin…”… Satan is in charge of the slave market of sin. … Before we are saved regardless of what our status in society might be, if you have not been born again, if you have not received Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord you are still in Satan’s slave market!

The good news for mankind is that Jesus came took away the key from Satan opened up the prison door of the prison of where we were bound and slaves of Satan and made it possible for us to be free if we choose to be so!

Redemption means the buying back of something. The price that Jesus paid was His own blood.

The story is told of of a young man who was being sold in a slave market! A kind man saw him and his pitiful condition and had compassion on him and decided to buy him in order to set him free! After the the sale was finalized the kind man broke the achains that had bound the slave and declared to him, I bought you to set you free, you are now a free man! After some moments of deep emotion the young man realizing that he was no longer a slave, with tears in his eyes spoke to the kind man, “ because you have bought me to free me and shown me such great love, I will serve you the rest of my life!

This is what God our Heavenly Father did, through Jesus Christ He delivered us from the authority of Satan, from the dominion of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. Now we can choose to remain in the kingdom of darkness or to become a love slave to Him who redeemed us with His own precious blood, He who is the lover of our soul, our precious LordJesus Christ!

My good friend which kingdom are you in? Neutral you cannot be!

Will you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior today and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead! The Bible says in John 1:12, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:”

In Rom 10:9 we read,

“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Romans 10:9 NKJV

When you receive Jesus you will experience what the Bible calls being born again and you must be born again in order to see the kingdom of God! We read this in John 3:3, “Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.””; (NKJV)

If you have not done this before I I invite you now to invite Jesus to come into your heart ask Him to forgive you you of all your sins and surrender your will and your all to Him!

Pray this simple pray after me, Lord Jesus, I believe that you died for me and that you rose again! I confess to you that I am a sinner, please come into my heart and be my personal Lord and Savior!

Thank you, thank you for coming into my heart now, for your Word says, “As many as received Him to them gave He power to become the sons of God
