A Heaven Sent Revivial is the Need of the Hour:
A Heaven sent revival is the urgent need of the hour! We are living in an hour where many churches have backslided and who are denying the fundamental truths of God’s Word and where society has degenerated and are disobeying God’s laws and are breaking His everlasting covenant! A new generation has sprung up that knows very little or nothing of God and His ways
Today and In following sessions, with the help of the Holy Spirit,u I will be talking about Revivial! We will be sharing examples of Heaven sent revivials in the past and how God sent Revivial in most unlikely places! In the session today I would like to answer the question, “what is the main hindrance to Revivial in our individual lives and in our churches?

Whenever there great needs in the land, for example economic difficulties, wars, natural calamities, epidemics and pandemics etc., the root cause is sin in the church and amongst the lives of individual Christians. This is a time for God’s children to take seriously the message of 2Chronicles 7: 13-14 ““When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people,”
“if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
In order for Revivial to come, God’s people everywhere need to to repent from their sins! We read in 1Peter 4:17-18 “For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? Now “If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?””
I Peter 4:17-18 NKJV
Repentance must begin with Christians who must turn from their worldliness, prayerlessness, indifference, hardness, critical spirit, unforgiveness, lukewarmness, coldness and backsliding. They must repent of their carnal strivings for position and of their church quarrels and denominational jealousy and every other unconfessed sin in which have chilled the atmosphere of the church until people are driven away.
Johnathan Goforth missionary from Canada who was used greatly in revival in China said:
“We cannot emphasize too strongly our conviction that all hindrances to revival in the Church are due to sin! The appalling fact is that every sin found without the Church is found also within the Church although perhaps to a lesser degree.
It is sin in individual Church members, whether at home or on the foreign field, which grieves and quenches the Holy Spirit! I imagine that we would lose much of our self-righteousness if we were to find that pride, jealousy, envy, greed, bad temper, backbiting, gossip, talebearing, and all their kindred are just as heinous in God’s sight as the so-called grosser sins
